Governor Promises to Finish Off NM

Voices, Politics / Current Events

Why is our governor always surrounded by elementary school children? There she is on the cover of the Albuquerque Urinal for the thousandth time, and the picture could have been taken when she was running for governor the first time, or last month, for that matter.

In fact that’s not the governor at all but a stand in that has been hired to do all the gov’s kid shots while the chief exec. is off destroying the educational system, beating homeless food stamp recipients into the caliche, selling our social services to Arizona, ripped up environmental protections, etc.

Susana does not want you to know this, but it’s not just some look alike off the street who is reading, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, to the kids. That is the governor’s right hand man, Jay McCleskey, dressed up to look for all the world exactly like the governor. I think he’s doing a great job and he’s saving a little money for the campaign because the Susana folks really need a lot of dough right now to fight off Gary King. Dave and Chuck Koch might even ask for some money back after Susana wins or she abdicates to become Vice President. I hear Dave and Chuck really need the resources these days, what with trying to buy the country and all.

While I’m thinking of it, can you imagine Gary King surrounded by kids for the warm, fuzzy photo op.? I certainly can’t. What would Gary do if little Johnnie spits up on his immaculate white shirt? Jay McCleskey has no problem pacifying vomiting children in the name of warm fuzzies. A lot of people have thrown up on Jay and he just smiles. As long as there is money on the table, he will do almost anything. In this case, dressing in drag to be a Susana deadringer is a nobrainer for Jay.

It’s too darn bad all those same elementary school children’s test scores took a nose dive during the governor’s first administration because naturally all those warm, fuzzy children will now be sent by the powers that be to the good old horse abattoir down in southern New Mexico for processing and final GED treatment. Of course this downturn in kid proficiencies is due to the fact the tests were developed during Bull Richardson’s time, so no wonder the kids are doing worse. Maybe during her second term the governor will have Undesignated Hanna grind out a new test that shows New Mexico kids are succeeding or maybe the gov. will just drive us all down to the horse slaughter plant for final processing.  I sure hope so, at any rate.
