Hanna the Great met with teachers in Albuquerque last week, and guess what, they didn’t like the new step toward privatizing New Mexico education one darn bit. I wonder why. Despite objections from educators, ed. administrators throughout the state, and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, PED says the student and teacher evaluation program is going forward at double speed. “We don’t give a tortilla for what you think.”

It seems democracy and the push and pull of ideas don’t mean a whittle to Princess Skan. “To hell with all this stupid talking. There is money to be made,” the unconfirmed education monarch proclaims.  And this is the real point—under the Republicans New Mexico is for sale.

Susana Martinez, Governor of Texas, er I mean New Whatyoucallit, has gone over to Arizona where she is also governor, to see her Republican buddies who are also governors of this and that state.  You remember Arizona, don’t you? That’s where Susana dragged up all those health and human services folks to come in to NM to help run what is left of social services here after she has destroyed them, just as she is destroying public education.  Those Arizona folks scraped up millions and millions, and that’s why they love and support Suzy Q.

The gov. doesn’t need to call in consultants to dismantle public education, not yet, at any rate. Her nibs  will have Hanna the Wonderful to complete that task. And Hanna as well as the PED are both steaming ahead, going throttle with her idiot scheme  to eliminate public education no matter what.

Have you ever marveled about who is going to administer and score all those fantastic student tests and those amazing teacher evaluations? Do you think that Sooz and Henna are going to have a New Mexico company run this nice juicy testing program that will mean big bucks for the test administrators. Suzy hasn’t said much about this, and for sure Hanna Banana hasn’t whispered a word, but I just bet, when all is said and done, there will be an out-of-state company we’ve never heard of that can whisk right in and start processing all those evaluations, a company from Texas, maybe, or from Arizona, maybe because, let’s face it, us peasant type peons in New Mexico just don’t count.
