V.B. Price talks with longtime journalist Peter Katel about the roots of the anti-surveillance movement here in New Mexico as well as the wave of migrants from Central America. Katel recently wrote a piece for the Mercury about a 1974 media campaign, led by filmmaker Godfrey Reggio, that warned of the dangers of surveillance technology. The campaign was extremely prescient in light of what's been exposed by Edward Snowden and other whistleblowers.
