Louis Head first traveled to Cuba in 1979 and has visited the island on many occasions. From 1999-2010 he directed the Albuquerque-based Cuba Research & Analysis Group, which promoted engagement and exchange between U.S. and Cuban counterpart institutions, professionals, artists and grassroots organizations. He presently works as Facilitator of the South by South by Southwest Experiment, and is a board member of the Latin America Working Group in Washington, DC.
