Marilyn Stablein is the award-winning author of 12 books.  Splitting Hard Ground: Poems won the New Mexico Book Award. Her collages, photographs and artist books have been widely exhibited and appear on the covers of various magazines and journals. She teaches workshops in memoir, fiction and poetry.
