Born and raised in Albuquerque, Tony Mares has travelled extensively and lived around the country.  He’s published numerous chapbooks and books of poetry, translations, and a play.  His work has appeared in local, national, and international magazines, reviews, journals, and anthologies.  His selected works include:  The Unicorn Poem & Flowers and Songs of Sorrow, West End Press, 1992; With the Eyes of a Raptor, Wings Press 2004; (translator, poems of Angel Gonzalez) Casi Toda La Musica/Almost all the Music, Wings Press, 2007, and more.
